Born in St Andrews, rooted in Golf.

Hey there!

Eden started out as a passion project, something we did just to capture the moments. We were studying at the University of St Andrews, living in the Home of Golf, and we couldn’t pass up the chance to share it with others. With access to some of the world’s best courses right at our doorstep, we wanted to bring the wider golfing community into that experience with us.

What started as a fun way to connect with other golf lovers and show off the roots of the game in Scotland has grown into something bigger. Now, we’re building Eden into a space that really captures the spirit of grass-roots golf, for people who appreciate the artistry of course design, quality golf gear, and—most of all—the sheer joy of playing, rain or shine.

These days, Eden is a mix of social media and a written journal for those who love the game as much as we do. We mostly share raw, unfiltered moments from our time in St Andrews, with a few special features from other courses sprinkled in. Our Instagram is where it all comes together—authentic, in-the-moment snapshots of our golfing life.

And this is just the beginning. We’re dreaming up big things for Eden Athletic. More content, more platforms, and a whole lot more media production. The goal? To create a brand that resonates with the golfing community. Expect beautifully curated content, stunning photography, and top-notch, locally made golf gear.

Thanks for joining us on the journey!

Who is Eden?

Eden was co-founded by Charles Gwynn and Ed Chambler in 2023. Eden was also championed by some of our closest friends in St Andrews, both on and off the golf course.

Charles is from Seattle, WA. He is currently a senior at the University of St Andrews studying Financial Economics. A resident alongside the 18th hole of the Old Course, he’s a plus handicap player who previously served as Captain of competitive golf for the University Golf Club. Beyond the game of golf, Charles enjoys distance running, photography, and fly-fishing.

Ed is from Sherborne, in Dorset. In June, Ed graduated from the University of St Andrews where studied Mathematics and Philosophy. He picked up the game in his first year, having been a competitive tennis player, and fell in love with it alongside the Home of Golf. He went on to play competitive golf for the university, represented the golf club at social fixtures and left with a plus handicap. If not on the course, Ed can be found deep in the pub discussing his round over a few ales. This past summer, Ed worked for Fairgame, a golf tech start-up co-founded by Adam Scott, intent on building a global social platform for golfers to connect.
